David interrupted her thoughts by asking her if she was ready for breakfast. He had fixed bacon, scrambled eggs, and wheat toast with blackberry jelly. Almost in answer to his question, Alex’s stomach started growling.

David laughed and the two of them chatted idly as they both devoured the food on their plates. Alex was starting to feel comfortable around David, but she had no idea where he wanted their relationship to go. There was that nagging voice in the back of her mind that reminded her that he might be moving to Florida after his graduation in the spring.
